JOB Summary
The Financial Controller leads the day-to-day accounting and financial processes, and reporting of the company, with high level of pride-of-ownership in the accuracy and timeliness of the company’s books.
This is a hands-on role in which the candidate will have responsibility for not only producing accurate books and reports to HQ but also responsible for developing and implementing the internal controls throughout the local organization.
The position leads and manages 8 Finance team members, and reports to Group Controller in HQ and Finance Director in Japan.
Responsibilities:
• Monthly reporting (BS, P&L, Cash flow, Group reporting package etc.) according to US GAAP and PepsiCo Accounting/Reporting standards (accurately, completely, timely).
• Ensure compliance of all functions and processes with PepsiCo Global Control Standards, PepsiCo policies & procedures. Yearly roll out of agreed Risk Control Matrix and GCS roadmap.
• Lead projects related to Accounting /Tax and partner with the business to assess implications on processes and systems triggered by business initiatives.
• Annual reporting to Local Authorities for statutory accounts according to local law, and Annual tax returns as well as any tax audit (direct or indirect).
• Ensure GL Accounting and all sub-ledgers are correct, and all accounts reconciled. Compile, analyse and monitor the activities and results of the company.
• Be a hands-on leader who is a functional expert in accounting and financial reporting related matters who will provide the guidance for the market’s various departments and ensure execution in excellence of the policies.
Requirements
Requirements:
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Controlling, Accounting and Financial reporting field. 3 years in a senior financial leadership role with ability to lead and develop a team.
• Experience in a leading publicly traded company, large international corporate.
• Excellent knowledge in USGAAP and local GAAP reporting and compliance. Professional Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is advantage.
• Disciplined leader with execution excellence with strong attention to detail.
• Demonstration of servant leadership coaching & enabling team members including hands-on support.
• Resilient and motivated with positive “Can Do” attitude.
• Strong communication and influential skills Up, Down and Across.
• Fluent in English
